Bio
Marco studied Media in Madrid from 2006 to 2012.
He then moved to Barcelona to study a Masters in Cinematography (ESCAC, 2013). Right after that he started an internship in Service Vision, a high end rental company based in Barcelona. They helped him to get in touch with Panavision and Movietech in London, where he spent some time as an intern.
In 2014 he attended the NFTS for a short camera operating course.
It was after then when he started working as an assistant for Directors of Photography as John Mathieson BSC, Carlos Catalán, Ashley Barron ACS or Alvaro Gutiérrez AEC.
Expertise
Marco has stepped up as Camera Operator in several features, commercials, shorts and music promos while still working as a 1st Assistant Camera.
He has also worked as a DoP for documentaries and has been lately camera operating on TV series and commercials.
He is a member of the Bafta Connect 2024 program as camera operator and is eager to step up when the right opportunity comes his way.
He recently attended the SOC camera crane workshop at Cinemoves Moorpark (Oct. 24´).
He´s been practising steadycam and has now purchased his first steadycam rig. He's attended two ACO Steadycam workshops and the Tiffen Bronze and Silver Plus Steadycam courses (Oct. 24´).
He also owns a full Ronin 2 package incl. Masterwheels.
Latest work
He recently operated camera for Director Maxim Kelly and DoP Michal Babinec ASK in ´Ty Zhe Ne Znaesh Kto Ya´Molchat Doma´s latest Music Video. Ronin 2. (2024 - Music Promo).
He finished recently Episode 5 of Black Mirror S7 as 1st AC A Camera, shot in London. Directors Luke Taylor and Chris Barrett and Dop Álvaro Gutierrez. (2024 - TV Sci-fi/Drama).
Marco finished ´Boarders´ on September 2023 as 1st AC a camera and B camera operator on dailies. Block 1 was directed by Ethosheia Hilton with DoP Korsshan Schauler and Block 2 directed by Sarmad Masud with DoP Yinka Edward. BBC3.
He worked on ‘Grime Kids’ for BBC3, Director Abdou Cisse and DoP Korsshan Schauler. Working as A Camera 1st AC and operating B Camera on dailies. (2022 - TV Drama).
Marco wrapped on `Ridley´ end of April 2022, ITV production, worked as A Camera 1st AC throughout the series and as B Camera Operator (dailies) on the Episode Finale. Director Bryn Higgins and DoP Tony Coldwell (2022 - TV Drama).
He operated B Camera (dailies) for Dop Korsshan Schauler and Director Marley Morrison on `Tell Me Everything' for ITV (2021 - TV Drama) .
